Reading the emotion in the clients' eyes at the moment of delivery

Casa JC

Casa JC is located in a building from the first half of the 20th century, in a residential neighborhood fairly close to the city center. The project was commissioned by an Austrian couple who had already purchased the property as a second home and followed the renovation work remotely. As with many of our projects, we aimed to enhance the pre-existing elements to their fullest potential, and the result was greatly appreciated by the clients, who showed genuine emotion at the time of delivery.

the starting point

Every place can become special

Small but cozy

Casa JC is an apartment located on the third floor, consisting of a living area with large windows and a balcony.

The kitchen is separate, with a balcony overlooking an inner courtyard surrounded by greenery. The rest of the apartment consists of a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, sink, and bidet, and a second bathroom with only a toilet, a common feature in Trieste.

The apartment is not particularly large, but after the renovation work, the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Floors

The pre-existing beech parquet in the bedrooms and hallway had a glossy finish from previous interventions. During the renovation, we restored it with a light satin effect, which brought a sense of softness and warmth to the apartment.

We applied the skirting board and the baseboard, the latter was painted white.

In the kitchen and bathrooms, tiles were laid, selected by the clients at Cambielli Edilfriuli Trieste, one of our trusted suppliers.

We enhance the interiors with a tailor-made job

Both bathrooms in the apartment were completely redone.

The “Triestina” bathroom (old WC room) was completely enhanced by us thanks to a special treatment on the blind door: we added a glass insert, which we personally decorated with acrylic paint and faux lead.

The result creates a completely original element, which is highlighted in the morning when the sun rises from the east, gradually filtering through the bathroom window and illuminating the glass door, casting soft colors onto the satin-finished wooden floor.

We enhance what cannot be hidden

In this project, we chose not to touch the original piping of the heating system, which is exposed in the central hallway area.

Since we couldn’t hide it, we decided to enhance it by stripping the existing thermal paint from the pipes and exposing the iron through a treatment with a matte passivating paint, which not only protects the pipe but also highlights its metallic hues.
