Redefining lighting and space
New spaces
The central idea of the entire project is to provide abundant natural light to make the most of even the smallest spaces. This creates the feeling of being in an apartment much larger than its actual 55 square meters.
For this reason, we decided to minimize the hallway space by demolishing some walls and redefining the small living area. In the corridor, there’s a custom-made wardrobe with glass doors crafted by a carpenter commissioned by the owner.
For both the living area and the bedroom, we installed an oak plank floor provided by Zanutta Trieste. The owner also purchased the bathroom fixtures and shower enclosure from the same store.
A play of lights
PlanBstudio has incorporated horizontal and vertical LEDs throughout the house to create movement and provide a different perception of the volumes.
This technique is particularly evident in the bathroom, where we created a false ceiling with dimmer lights, allowing the owner to create various atmospheres at her preference.
The bathroom has also been enlarged by redefining the spaces: by utilizing an area of the adjacent bedroom, we created a beautiful recessed shower.
The Italgraniti tiles we installed create an interesting combination with a marble and terrazzo effect.
Above the washing machine is a custom-made wooden cabinet crafted by the carpenter and painted in the same colour.
Construction Details
In the owner’s master bedroom, we created a spacious and highly functional walk-in closet.
Additionally, we replaced all the exterior fixtures throughout the house and motorized all the shutters.
We also replaced the interior doors with new GDDorigo elements.
